Housekeeping Maid Simple
​Service Policies & Guidelines
General Policy
​
These policies apply to all services booked with Housekeeping Maid Simple. We collect limited personal information solely to provide estimates, scheduling, and communication related to your cleaning services. Information may be shared with trusted service partners only when necessary to fulfill a request.
Appointment Arrival Window​
We provide a 30–45-minute arrival window for all scheduled appointments. While we make every effort to arrive on time, delays due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances may occur. If we anticipate running late, we will notify you as soon as possible.
Clients are expected to be available at the scheduled time. If access to the property is not granted within 15 minutes of arrival, the appointment may be canceled and subject to a cancellation fee.

Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that plans change. We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation or rescheduling.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or if access to the property is not provided, may result in a $80 cancellation/rescheduling fee, depending on the service type.

Schedule changes must be made directly with our office during business hours at 713-912-7526

Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Saturday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Sunday: Closed

Scheduling changes should not be made directly with cleaning technicians.

Extenuating Circumstances
In cases of illness (including COVID-19), accidents, or serious family emergencies, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible. Documentation may be requested. If a service has already begun, the cancellation fee may still apply.

Payments
Payment is due upon completion of service.
We accept:

Credit/Debit Cards (3% processing fee for Visa/MasterCard/Discover)

American Express (5% processing fee)

Zelle (for existing recurring clients)

Bank-to-bank transfers (ACH)
Additional notes:

Paid parking fees will be added to your invoice when applicable.

Unpaid services are recorded on the client’s account.

Invoices unpaid after 24 hours may incur a 1% daily late fee.

Scheduling & Service Time
One-time cleanings are typically scheduled:

Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM or 1:30 PM

Saturday: 10:00 AM
We strive to complete services within the estimated time. If additional time is needed, our office will contact you for approval before continuing. Additional time is billed in 30-minute or 1-hour increments.
While we aim for consistency, we cannot guarantee the same technician for every visit due to scheduling, illness, or time off.

Arrival Times & Flexibility
Exact start times cannot be guaranteed. If you have a strict time requirement, please notify our office in advance. Afternoon appointments may shift if earlier services require additional time.

Service Guarantee
We take pride in our work. If any area does not meet expectations, please notify us within 48 hours of your scheduled service. We will gladly return to address the concern. Refunds are not offered.

Scope of Service
Housekeeping Maid Simple does not:

Move heavy furniture
-
Remove hazardous materials
-
Perform mold remediation
-
Remove human or animal waste
-
Remove blood or biohazards
We reserve the right to refuse service when safety is a concern.

Gratuity
Tips are never required but always appreciated. If you wish to tip, gratuities may be given directly to your technician in cash.

Cleaning Supplies
We provide high-quality, approved cleaning supplies. If you prefer that we use your supplies or equipment, please notify us prior to your appointment.
​
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates do not expire and are non-refundable. They may be redeemed for services up to the gift value. Any additional services or time beyond the gift amount are the responsibility of the recipient.

Privacy
We collect only information voluntarily provided through our website forms. This information is used to:

We do not sell or trade customer information. Information may be shared only when required to operate our services or comply with legal obligations.
